Erin was fortunate to attend the launch of the First Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls in Washington DC.
Erin was selected among hundred of applicants to present National Association of Social Workers National 2016 Conference.

Erin was excited and humbled to learn that she has been featured in the Jane Addams College of Social Work Alumni Newsletter in recognition of "the extraordinary success of its graduates in the field of social work."

Erin had a unique opportunity to attend the University of Chicago's Booth Women Connect Conference, and was proud to be one of the few social workers in the room.
Erin hosted a group of savvy and successful women for a "Put on Some Lipstick and Hustle" professional development workshop which engaged participants in conversations and skill building strategies around salary negotiation, networking, and consulting! Motivated by the desire to increase holistic services offered to clients, and formalize fitness and nutrition work and research that Erin has done over several years, she is pursuing her ACE Health Coach certification. This is the only Health Coach certificate accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the same body that accredits certifications for pharmacists, nurse practitioners, registered dietitians and many other health professions.
Erin has been accepted as a Fellow in the Chicago Urban League's IMPACT Leadership Development Program. In partnership with the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, The Chicago Community Trust, and The Joyce Foundation IMPACT supports the professional and personal development of emerging African American professionals ages 30-45.
Through her role as Director of Mental Health Support at SGA Youth & Family Services Erin was invited to speak at the Midwest Healthy Start Grantee Connection Conference, presenting on the topic of perinatal and postpartum depression. Erin was honored, gladly accepting the invitation and receiving positive feedback from participants.
Erin submitted a proposal to present at the upcoming NASW National Conference on the Peer Support Group work she is doing in partnership with Fertility for Colored Girls. The Conference is a bi-annual opportunity for more than 2,300 social workers and like-minded professionals to gather in Washington, DC for four days of unparalleled professional development, networking and continuing education.
In an ongoing commitment to support other women and minority owned businesses Brownies Grande Joie is the featured business of August 2015. Their Signature Chocolate Chip Brownies were a hit among colleagues and friends at the Spring 2015 Open House and Networking Event! In an ongoing effort to support other women and minority owned businesses Jelligun is the featured business for January. Erin wants to thank Jelligun for their recently donated items in support of a Put on Some Lipstick and Hustle professional development workshop she held. The donated mugs and creative art pieces were a hit! She is sure someone you know would like them too, and encourages you to support this uniquely creative business.
